Newport Workforce Center Goes Mobile

LITTLE ROCK, Ark., December 1, 2022 — The Arkansas Division of Workforce Services is taking services on the road. Starting December 1, 2022, ADWS staff will provide services via the Mobile Workforce Center every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Village Mall parking lot [2301 McClain Street, Newport, AR 72112].

The same ADWS employment services provided in the Arkansas Workforce Center will be available via the Mobile Workforce Center, such as job search and résumé assistance, career counseling, referrals, job placement services, and unemployment insurance claim filing. If necessary, individuals may also visit the Batesville Arkansas Workforce Center at 396 Barnett Drive, Batesville, AR 72501.

ADWS is implementing its mobile workforce centers and improved service delivery model to ensure that it can continue to provide timely and responsive services to our customers. ADWS believes this transition to mobile service-delivery will allow staff to better serve the citizens of Arkansas while making the best use of taxpayer dollars.
