Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment within the forging manufacturing facility.
Job Duties:
Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on forging equipment such as presses, furnaces, cranes, compressors, and hydraulic systems to ensure continuous operation.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues on manufacturing equipment.
Monitor the performance of machinery and equipment, identifying issues before they lead to breakdowns.
Work closely with production teams, engineers, and other maintenance staff to coordinate and prioritize tasks.
Make necessary adjustments to machines and equipment to maintain production quality and efficiency.
Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies, including Lockout/Tagout procedures and proper use of PPE.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and maintenance schedules, using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or other tools.
Respond to urgent maintenance calls during regular shifts and on-call hours to reduce equipment downtime.
Assist in installing and setting up new equipment and machinery, including calibrations and adjustments.
All other duties assigned by supervisor or manager.
What you need to be successful:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Ability to stand, bend walk and drive forklift throughout the day
Withstand high temperatures for a long period of time
Be able to life or move at least 40lbs
Experience in industrial maintenance
Solid understanding of all maintenance aspects of a heavy industry equipment, preferably in the closed die forging industry.
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, as well as maintenance best practices and techniques.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
Ability to troubleshoot general industrial equipment.
